Congratulations Crist for graduating from the Purdue Watershed
Academy!!!
Minutes: The minutes for the
meetings of March 19, 207 and April 23, 2007 were approved.
Treasurer’s Report: There was
$26,986.87 in the account. $7,511.76 can be spent as we wish.
The rest must be spent specifically on river clean-ups and
equipment. There will be a full report next meeting.
Old business:
Crist reported on the current bank restoration and
showed the slides he used for his last presentation for the
watershed academy
Crist reported the inventory of the hats and
t-shirts. (There are 24 maroon hats and 5 blue hats; 4 M and 4
Lg blue t-shirts; 17 M and 12 XL Maroon t-shirts; 20 S, 32M and
4XL gray t-shirts)
The date for the Anderson Cruise-in has been
changed; therefore our celebration will not be at the same time.
The band Common Ground will perform 2 sets for
$300 beginning at 11AM. It was moved by Judy, seconded and
passed to pay the band $300.
The location will be on the downtown River Walk
and depends on getting permission for the use of the adjacent
parking lot.
It was moved by Sheryl, seconded and passed to
reimburse Charity’s Angels if they are not able to sell enough
food to meet their costs
A van is needed to transport people from the
take-out point back to the celebration. A motion was made by
Kim, seconded and passed to spend up to $100 on the rental of a
van.
There will be no Go-Fish.
Fliers need to be handed out.
We will set up picture panels and possibly have
the trailer there.
It was moved by Judy, seconded and passed to spend
$400 for a tent rental.
Robbie (Canoe Country) will report next meeting on
the price of the canoes for the event.
It was suggested to buy 50 10th
anniversary t-shirts.
John and Zoe Johnson were nominated for the River
Hero Award.
It was motioned by Judy, seconded and passed to
reimburse Kim $41.34 for printing costs.
Kim needs news letters and articles for the news
letter.
New Business: Sheryl reported on
the felling of trees from Mounds State Park. Further
investigation is needed.
