Recycling Bin Giveaway     

   The city of Anderson is making it easy to save our environment by recycling. The changes to our recycling program include::

   * Weekly recycling pickup
   * Conversion from blue bags to bins. The bins are available at no charge through Dec. 31 at three locations:
        o City Hall - Utility Office, ground floor, 120 E. 8th Street
        o Fire Station #8 - 109 W. 53rd Street
        o Anderson Yard and Garden Recycling Center - 2000 W. 8th Street (call for hours - 648-6399)

                                                          We're Also Helping with Fall Cleanup!       
 

 Not only have we designated Saturday, Oct. 14 as our Fall Citywide Cleanup Day, but we are making available lawn/leaf      bags through our City Utility Office (ground floor, City Hall) beginning Monday, Oct. 9. Each customer will receive a bundle of five bags at no cost. Hurry - we will only be distributing 700-800 bundles. The rest we're saving for pickup at Athletic Park on our Fall Citywide Cleanup Day.
