March 15, 2010

Minutes: The minutes for the meetings of January 14, 2010 and February 15, 2010 were approved.

Treasurer's Report:   Kim reported little activity.  Membership dues are due.  She will have an update on the CD next meeting.

Topics of discussion:   President Sheryl Myers  was  not present. Vice President Brad Childs presided.  He had no agenda to work with.

      There will be an Earth Day celebration Saturday April 24th from 11 AM - 3 PM.  The tentative location is Pulaski Park, however details have not yet been determined.

      Kim wants to display the Governor's Volunteerism award at her RSVP office.  No one objected.

      Judy can burn copies of the DVD Water's Journey.

      Riverfest will be July 17th.

      The fall clean-up will be Saturday September 11th.  This is also the National Day of Service.  Kim will use the clean-up as the service day for RSVP.

      We discussed where to hold the fall clean-up.  Kevin will contact Layne Cameron.  Brad will call Robbie to reserve canoes.  The clean-up site possibilities were narrowed down to the eastern, middle or western portion of the county!.

      Kim will have a news letter the week before Earth Day and would like to have articles in by April 5th.
