MINUTES May 16, 2005 Welcome Laura Fribley, Madison county Soil and Water Conservation District! MINUTES: The minutes for the meetings of April 18, 2005 and for March 21, 2005 were both accepted as written. Note: The minutes will now be posted on the website! All electronic copies of past meetings have been posted. Hard copies that have to be scanned will be posted as time permits. TREASURER’S REPORT: The treasurer was not present. EDUCATION: Sheryl gave the report. There will be two groups from ages 9 – 14. Group #1 will build bird houses; participate in Go Fish activities at Shadyside Lake. Group #2 will canoe from River Bend to Sink’s Place, the Conservation Club at 8th and Raible. There was discussion concerning the details. There will be a meeting at Sheryl’s house on the 23d at 7PM to discuss the details further. JUNE 11TH CLEAN-UP: Will be from Timberline to Mounds State Park. John presented information on the grant. We will start at 8:30AM with registration and put in the water at 9AM. We will meet in the youth tent area. A motion was made, seconded and passes to use the youth tent area. John and Zoe will be in charge of food. Kim will be the “tire Nazi”. A motion was made, seconded and passed to purchase two tables for the WRW to use for various events including this clean-up. There was a discussion of illegal dumping along the White River within the floodway, including the Sandra Lamb problem. Judy will send thank-you cards and send the report needed for the grant. There was a motion, second and approval to adjourn.
