MINUTES
April 23, 2007
Minutes: The reading of the minutes
was postponed until the May 21, 2007 meeting
Treasurer’s Report: There was
$21,956.87 in the account. The treasurer’s report was accepted.
Old business:
The Muncie Sanitary district and Yorktown will be
having a clean-up on June 2 , 2007
The main topic was out 10 year celebration. Our
catch phrase/slogan will be WHITE RIVER WATCHERS: TEN YEARS
CLEANER
The celebration will begin at 8AM with balloon
rides, if possible and run until ~1PM
We are still waiting to hear from Helen Ween about
the Re-Max Balloon.
Judy will design a poster.
The band Common Ground will play from 9AM – 11AM
or 10AM – 12noon
We need to find out about the availability of
electricity.
A 20’ x 60’ tent will cost ~$349. The Anderson
Parks Department can provide the tables.
The City of Anderson will celebrate Arbor Day on
April 28, 2007.
We have booth #11
The celebration begins at 10AM, but we need to be
there at 9AM to set up.
New business:
It was decided that we should nominate John and
Zoe Johnson for the River Hero Award.
The fall clean-up will be on the west side of the
county on Sat. Sept. 8th.
May 19th we will clean up our adopted
section of the river in conjunction with the city wide
clean-up. The city will then take care of the trash picked-up.
A motion was made, seconded and passed to
reimburse Judy the extra $56.20 for the Frisbees for Arbor Day.
Alan will look into shelving for the trailer.
