MINUTES

June 18, 2007

Minutes:  Kim made a motion that was seconded; the minutes were approved with a typographical error corrected. 

Treasurer’s Report:  The account balance was $26,986.87 with $25 for dues still un-deposited.  The minutes were accepted.  Kim went over the budget review committee meeting with a final report pending.  Sheryl made a motion that was seconded, discussed and approved to give Kim $50 for her work.

New Business: 

      There will be a tree planting at Grandview Golf Course on Sat. June 23, 2007 at 9AM.  The holes for the trees will be dug by hand.  There will be 90 trees planted.

      Judy reported on dumping n Delaware Co.

      Dr. Schaefer will have a permanent easement thru the fish-kill funds.

      There are about 500 acres of hard wood trees planted in Madison County through the CREP conservation program.  390 of those acres are in permanent easements.

      Crist reported on 2 illegal sand and gravel extraction activities within Madison County.

Old Business:  Our ten year celebration:

      We can call our celebration a clean-up

      There can be prizes for the most tires, biggest tire, smallest tire, biggest object etc.

      Rewards could include gift certificates, passes for canoe rental, WRW memberships, and hat and shirt combination.

      There could be a geocashe

      Kim will work on the t-shirts and news letter.

      Crist will haul the trailer.

      Sheryl or Brand will contact Robbie.

      Various forms of advertising were discussed.

      There will be a committee meeting in three weeks on July 9^th, at 6PM at the SWCD. 

      The celebration will be from 9 – 1

 Sheryl and Kevin reported on the River Rally at Purdue in W. Lafayette.
