MINUTES

January 22, 2007

Our guest speaker was John Vann, Professor of Marketing at Ball State University.  His presentation centered on global warming.  Link he suggested were fightglobalwarming.com and http//:www.theclimateproject.org.   A book he recommended was The Weather Makers (2005) by Tim Flannery.  ISBN # 13:978-0-87113-935-1 or 10:0-87113-935-9. 

Minutes:  The minutes were approved as written.

Treasurer’s Report:  There was $26,927.02 in the checking account.  The treasurer’s report was approved.

Old business: 

                  Emergency Management has a 16’ john boat they are willing to give us.  Sheryl will investigate the details. 

                  There was discussion about this year’s clean-ups.   The possibility of having only one clean-up was brought up.  Judy made a motion to have a ten year anniversary celebration and only one clean-up.  The details will be discussed at future meeting.  Sheryl seconded the motion.  The motion passed. 

                  April 28^th is the Arbor Day celebration. 

There was no new business.   A motion was made, seconded and passed to adjourn.
