MINUTES
August 20, 2007
Minutes: Judy prepared a letter of
thanks for the Chesterfield Christian Church and printed a card for
all the board members to sign. The minutes were approved
Treasurer’s Report: There is $24,886.90
in the account. $17,906.81 is from the fish kill funds and must be
spent on clean-ups.
Old Business:
River Fest: The KCCA purchased poles for the banner
and donated the poles to the White River Watchers. Sheryl will call
Nina Bryant to acknowledge their donation.
White River Clean-up Inc: There was an embezzlement
scandal. Crist discussed the issues informing us the State Police
and the Attorney General have been investigating the issue.
Trestle Removal: temporary earthen dams were made,
water pumped out and the trestle was cut 3’ below the gravel bed.
The trestle is no longer a threat to canoers and kayakers. Within 5
- 10 min about 1000 small mouth bass were around the area the
equipment vacated because macro-invertebrates were stirred up.
River Clean-up: Sign-up is at 8:30AM. Volunteers
need to be there at 8AM. We will meet at Bonge’s in Perkinsville.
There was discussion on several put-in points. It was decided to
have another meeting on Monday August 24th to finalize
the details
New Business: Kevin made a motion to
reimburse Judy 168.18 for web-site expenses.
